Today is day 6 on the specials calendar.
The specials schedule will resume as normal.
Congratulations to Mrs. Bland and team (Mr. Solis and others) for an excellent Middle school orientation program last night. Principals and staff members from local middle schools presented information for 5th grade students and parents and the turnout was excellent !
The staff workday for Monday is 8:00-3:30. If you are planning to take annual leave, call the absence reporting line(sub system) before Monday. Also, indicate your plans on the sign up sheet in the office. Doing so will help Mrs. Sawyer get payroll accurate. No one would want to be charged a leave day by mistake.
Extended time line: Report cards are due no later than Wednesday, January 27.
Please notify the appropriate administrator when your report cards are downloaded to the R drive for review.
Websites should be updated by Monday, January 25.
Thanks to everyone for your hard work for EOQ's, "Dibbling" and all other critical assessments done each quarter. Everyone has been flexible regarding schedule changes and it is appreciated by all. For the next few days, EOQ make ups will be taking place but the disruption will be limited. PRT's, Title 1 and other support staff will be used for make up testing-please review Mrs. Scott's email from yesterday.
Don't forget to give names of students who are experiencing difficulty to Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Dooley so you can get the proper number of letters to send in report cards.
Finally, despite the schedule changes this week, now is the time that supervision and rigor should most definitely be taking place in all classrooms. Yesterday was unusually "busy" with students not demonstrating Gibson pride. Certainly the students must be held accountable but maintaining rigorous lessons and well defined supervision will make help sure students stay where they are needed-in the classroom.
