Today is day 5 on the specials calendar.
WSFCS are operating on a two hour delay today. Students will be admitted to the building at 9:50 and sent to the classrooms at 10:10.

On a two hour delay, staff members are expected to report at regular time. In case of delay due to road conditions, please use your best judgment, but everyone should be here no later than 8:50.
Since we have a two hour delay, specials will start with the 12:20 specials.Students will be sent to the classrooms at 10:10.
Breakfast will be given to the students to eat in the room if necessary.No tardies will be issued on a two hour delay
I would like to review my email from yesterday concerning schedule changes on a two hour delay: teachers need to make sure that Reading and math are taught on days with a two hour delay. Teachers should have Reading for an hour to an hour and one half and math should be held for one hour. If you have to break up the block due to specials or lunch go right ahead. You may not have all the people you normally have (PRT's, etc). Teacher directed Reading should take place in all classes. If you need to skip certain lessons like spelling or Social Studies, that is acceptable in circumstances like this. Teachers should not have recess on a two hour delay day.
Another big change for today-The Specialists' PBS reward for 3-5 grade students will take place today starting at 12:20. No change for specials. Mrs. Bruce will contact teachers and specials with details.
Congratulations to Ken Leak-he is the classified staff member for the third quarter. Enjoy your special parking space and recognition.
Report cards will be sent home Friday, February 5 (if school is in session) or Monday, February 8. Please have report cards ready to go home Thursday afternoon before you leave just in case.
Lesson plans will be reviewed next week and instead of Tuesday, I am asking for plans to be turned in on Mondays from now on. We would love to drop by and see some of the great activities planned but getting copies mid-week causes us to miss them sometimes.
