Today is Day 2 on the Specials calendar.
No School Monday-Labor day Holiday. Please remind students. A note will go home home.
President Obama will address the nation's children Tuesday, September 8 at 1:00. The broadcast will be streamed across the internet and shown on CNN-channel 6. WSFCS is asking all schools to show this broadcast. We will show the braodcast in classrooms and in the cafeteria. If you have recess at 1:00 please reschedule so your students may watch the broadcast. If any parents do want their children to see the broadcast, they may let you know by written note or personal contact. We will have all students who will not watch the broadcast go to one location and have a staff member supervise them. I will forward an email from Dr. Martin concerning this issue.
Fundrasier kickoff will be next Wednesday-times to be announced.
We will re-broadcast the PBS video this morning. No question for today, but some tips to remember:
Please emphasize the expectations in key areas such as bathrooms and cafeteria especially.
Teachers please remind students of the voice volume in the cafeteria.
The Gibson Grizzly Den will open next week, Please review schedule given out. Remember to give out those den dollars and remind students about our raffles.
Trish Gladstone, our PBS support from the district will be in the building today with a guest.

We should have someone in place for lunch duty near the end of next week. I will post a draft of duty free lunch using assistants on the juliangibson2020 wiki next week. Grade chairs. Please review and make necessary changes. Once the changes have been made and approved duty free lunch with assistants may start. Please remember to sit with students one last week and I ask specialists to eat with a class as well.
