Mrs. Snipes away

March 30 is an Rc day-Staff without workshops may take annual leave. After today, all staff will be required to work on Rc days. Comp time may not be used.
March 31-Rs day.-Staff may take annual leave, use comp time (get pre-approval) or choose to work June 16th as a make up day. There will be a sign up sheet in the mailroom. Please sign up your intent by next Monday, March 29.

Please join me in thanking Mrs. Britton for all of her hard work as our duty free lunch monitor. After April 16-homeroom teachers must resume eating in the cafeteria EXCEPT for the two duty free days arranged with assistants. All homeroom teachers need to eat with your class three out of five days per week.

PBS corner-Please make sure that if you write a student a D-1, that the student comes with the form. If you place a form in the box of an administrator, it is very possible (likely even) that the issue may not be dealt with for 1-2 days or more. The reason being, mailboxes may not be checked frequently and if a form is sent, it's easy to put it down and address more visible needs (stuff happens). Having the student with the D-1 will help ensure the issue will be addressed in a timely manner. Bottom Line-please don't put D-1's in my mailbox. Any previous directions along those lines on my part was wrong.

Mrs, Sawyer is back in the hospital. She had some complications from her most recent procedure. She had surgery yesterday to correct the problem and everything went well. As of last contact, she was in ICU so she could be monitored. As soon as she is transferred to a regular room, I will let you know and we can begin to contact her. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Some of the additional technology we ordered with additional title 1 funds may be arriving soon. The technology will be have to be classroom based. (mounted) I have looked at a variety of factors to determine where the equipment should go. Prior training, evidence of use (through LP or walkthrough) were two of the factors I looked at. More technology will be ordered as soon as possible. We will have to redeploy current resources as well. The goal for the most part is to have two smartboards or their equivalent on each grade level. That is achived in all but one area. Hopefully that will be changed as soon as possible.
